Y'all, Christmas is in like a week and I'm SO excited! I just love celebrating Christ's birth with (most) of the world. It's so fun! I love the lights, music, and food, but I think my favorite thing is the presents (besides Advent reading, of course:)). I love giving gifts to those I love, and receiving gifts isn't too bad either ;) But the symbolism is what makes Christmas gifts so special. Jesus is the real gift. He came to this world to save us, a gift we definitely don't deserve. But He loves us and came anyways. Salvation is the greatest gift ever given and received.
So, along with me, think of why we're giving and receiving presents this Christmas. To celebrate Jesus and the gift of hope that He has given us! Something I plan on doing on Christmas night, or soon after, is writing down one thing for each gift I receive that I'm grateful to God coming to earth for. Say I got a cookbook, I might write that I'm thankful Jesus came as the bread of life that fills us up forever. Wanna join me?
Like I told you in my last blog post, I wanted to give y'all a little gift wrapping tutorial. This is how I wrapped my gifts this year, and I totally loved how they turned out. I hope you try it out and love it!
Step 1: Gather your materials
What you will need:
Step 2: Wrap it!
Step 3: Give it!
Go give your awesomely wrapped gift to your loved one! And give youself a pat on the back ;) It wasn't too hard, was it?
Now, what about those gifts that are too awkward to wrap? Use a cute gift bag, add tissue paper, and maybe write their name on it or use a gift tag! As you can tell from my above pics, those gifts were for my mom and dad. My two sister's gifts weren't able to be wrapped, so I put them in gift bags, as pictured below.
I hope these ideas help you and that you'll try them out! Let me know if you do.

Merry Christmas! I hope you have a joy-filled holiday remembering the Reason for the season.
"Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people."
