Hey y'all! So I decided to write a blog post sharing what I got for Christmas because
a. it sounded fun
b. I wanted a place to write down everything I got and look back on it, and
c. I love seeing what others got for Christmas, so I thought you might enjoy it too ;)
Oh, and don't forget to leave me a comment telling me one (or more!) of YOUR favorite gifts! I LOVE hearing from y'all!
Now, let's get to the presents! Some of these things were from my parents, and some were from other family members.
Eyeshadow Pallet- One of my aunt's got me this and I LOVE the colors!
Lipgloss- This was in my stocking, and again, I love the color!
Ankle booties- I've been eyeing these for a little while and just think they are the cutest!
Flats- My old flats were starting to get gross and my grandparents bought me these new ones!
Rainbow flip flops- I know you can't see the details in the picture very well, but the left strap is braided. I wear flip flops all of the time in the summer, and my Old Navy flip flops were hurting my feet and just kept wearing out, so I decided to invest in some good ones.
How to Study the Bible- This is one of Kristin Schmucker's devotionals, and I'm SO excited to read through it!
Preparing to be a Help Meet- One of my awesome internet friends recommended this book and I'm also SO excited to read this one!
Simply Southern folder- One of my aunt's bought this super cute folder for me!
Sketchbook- I wanted a blank sketchbook so that I could write out and draw Bible verses and quotes.
Tombow Dual Brush Pens- So many bloggers have recommended these brush pens and I can't wait to try them out!
Sakura pens- One of my sister's bought these awesome pens for me, and the tips are different sizes! I'll use these for my sketchbook.
Earrings- My other sister got me these super cute earrings (that you probably can't see very well, sorry!).
Yes Face mask- Face masks are just so fun, and I've heard charcoal is really good for your face, so I'm excited to try this one!
PuraVida bracelets- These are so super cute, and blue, my fave color!
Doritos, M&M's, and gum because FOOD!! Don't worry though, I won't swallow the gum.
Cassava flour- I LOVE nutrition and I've been wanting to try out this flour. Can't wait to make yummy gluten free bread! (I'm allergic to wheat.)
Cacao butter- You can make super yummy desserts and even chocolate with this!
Cookbook- If you didn't infer from the fact that I got ingredients for Christmas, I love to cook! I'm able to write all of my recipes in this super cute book! This is seriously one of my favorite gifts.
Meals Made Simple- This is by one of my all time favorite food bloggers (if not my favorite) Danielle Walker from Against All Grain!
Lexi's Clean Kitchen- This is also written by one of my all time favorite bloggers!
Saved by Grace tee- This is a Kristin Schmucker tee and is seriously my new favorite shirt!
Simply Southern tee- One of my aunts bought me this comfy tee!
Camis- I got a couple camis to go underneath my shirts. The gray one is pictured.
Not pictured: gray boot cuffs that one of my aunts got me!
Well there ya go! I would love to hear what YOU got for Christmas. Leave me a comment!
Y'all, Christmas is in like a week and I'm SO excited! I just love celebrating Christ's birth with (most) of the world. It's so fun! I love the lights, music, and food, but I think my favorite thing is the presents (besides Advent reading, of course:)). I love giving gifts to those I love, and receiving gifts isn't too bad either ;) But the symbolism is what makes Christmas gifts so special. Jesus is the real gift. He came to this world to save us, a gift we definitely don't deserve. But He loves us and came anyways. Salvation is the greatest gift ever given and received.
So, along with me, think of why we're giving and receiving presents this Christmas. To celebrate Jesus and the gift of hope that He has given us! Something I plan on doing on Christmas night, or soon after, is writing down one thing for each gift I receive that I'm grateful to God coming to earth for. Say I got a cookbook, I might write that I'm thankful Jesus came as the bread of life that fills us up forever. Wanna join me?
Like I told you in my last blog post, I wanted to give y'all a little gift wrapping tutorial. This is how I wrapped my gifts this year, and I totally loved how they turned out. I hope you try it out and love it!
Step 1: Gather your materials
What you will need:
Step 2: Wrap it!
Step 3: Give it!
Go give your awesomely wrapped gift to your loved one! And give youself a pat on the back ;) It wasn't too hard, was it?
Now, what about those gifts that are too awkward to wrap? Use a cute gift bag, add tissue paper, and maybe write their name on it or use a gift tag! As you can tell from my above pics, those gifts were for my mom and dad. My two sister's gifts weren't able to be wrapped, so I put them in gift bags, as pictured below.
I hope these ideas help you and that you'll try them out! Let me know if you do.

Merry Christmas! I hope you have a joy-filled holiday remembering the Reason for the season.
"Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people."
Y'all!! Christmas is in about 2 weeks and I am so excited! Christmas truly is the most wonderful time of the year, at least in my opinion. Some of you may not think so, though. For some of you, it may be the worst or hardest season of the year. But you know what, whether Christmas brings feelings of joy and excitement or pain and sadness, I think we can all find a reason to celebrate it.
Jesus. Yeah, I know. Jesus probably wasn't born on December 25th, but when was He born? If somebody can prove it was another day I'll start celebrating Christmas then lol. But we don't know! So we've chosen a time to celebrate His birth. It's really a time where people, whether they realize it or not, all come together to celebrate our Savior's birth. That's pretty rad. Even if you hate the lights and songs, you can love the fact that Jesus came to this earth as a little baby to save us. He is the reason for the season.
When we take the focus off of ourselves and put it on Jesus, the holiday becomes so much more meaningful. It doesn't matter if you love or hate Christmas. It's that way with every part of life! Jesus gives life meaning.
Christmas isn't really about the giving and receiving of gifts, although those are great things! It's about celebrating the fact that we have the hope of Jesus because He came to earth and died for us.
With all of that being said, I have some fun Christmas resources for you!
First off, some Advent Bible reading! To find out more about what Advent is, click here. Kristin describes it perfectly. I understand that it's not December 1st, but it doesn't really matter. You can catch up on the reading or you can just start on today's date. There really is no better way to prepare your heart than by reading Scripture.
I'm reading through Jenny's Little Bible Plan which I love, and also Kristin Schmucker's Advent Plan. I think you had to be on Kristin's mailing list to get the plan, so I can't share that with you, but I can share Jenny's! And it's awesome!
I printed it out and keep it in my Little Faith Book. Click on the image below to download your own copy!
Next up is a Christmas Spotify playlist! I LOVE music, and Christmas music definitely gets me into the Christmas spirit. I put together a playlist this year that combines both classic songs by various authors plus some new songs!
Also, some free printables!! I didn't make these, but I printed them out and love them. Printables are a cute and affordable way to decorate your room for Christmas. I hope you love them!

I hope to write a blog post all about Christmas wrapping and card making soon, so be on the lookout! You can subscribe to this blog on the home page if you want. But you don't have to ;)
